I had an interesting idea, and as no other cellists are online, I'll just plop it here so I don't forget.
On occasion, Mr. Mueller, the orchestra director, takes the high school orchestra to play concerts at random elementary schools in order to recruit little kids to the orchestra program. I was thinking that our theoretical cello quartet should play some Apocalyptica songs for this fall's concert. We could do Somewhere Around Nothing, since we've already learned it, and maybe something from the Cult CD. The kids couldn't get bored with that, could they? And furthermore, all the kids want to play violin. We need to get cello interest back up.
